Polyhedra Network Partners with BounceBit to Integrate zkBridge
Polyhedra Network is thrilled to announce our partnership with BounceBit, a BTC restaking infrastructure that provides a foundational layer for different restaking products, secured by the regulated custody of Mainnet Digital and Ceffu. Joined by a shared goal to build a robust Bitcoin ecosystem, the cooperation of Polyhedra Network and BounceBit promises interoperability for the BounceBit ecosystem.
Polyhedra Network will provide the zkBridge technology to BounceBit’s Layer 1 chain on Testnet and Mainnet. This integration will enable the bridging of cross-chain assets like BBTC and BUSDT to and from BounceBit chain. zkBridge provides trustless and efficient cross-chain infrastructures for layer-1 and layer-2 interoperability. With zero-knowledge proofs, zkBridge offers strong security without relying on external assumptions and a significant reduction in on-chain verification costs. Interoperability is critical to BounceBit’s growth, allowing for the aggregation of various types of Bitcoin assets and liquidity
The teams are also exploring the possibility of integrating Polyhedra’s newly launched Bitcoin Token Swap for BounceBit. The protocol introduces two counterparties, makers and users, to process the token swap secured by zkBridge Bitcoin messaging protocol. Polyhedra and BounceBit will collaborate further on Bitcoin-centric research exploring ways to expand the utility of the leading cryptocurrency.
